Welcome to “Photography is an Art”

Hey there…this is Zubair Shaikh…as a creative thinker by default since childhood…I learned to break things first…that's when, it all began.

Hell bent on doing things that my heart desired, led me to find adventure in capturing visual beauty around me through photography medium. As a Professional Photographer for over 35 years, while shooting variety of subjects in India and abroad, I soaked in all that inspired and touched me.

When digital image manipulation in Photography wrecked havoc on individual creative authority…my purist soul longed for a medium that could give me creative freedom and space to write and tell stories and share my Ideas. Though I quit Photography professionally, but the passionate cravings to find and capture frozen moments and the deep understanding of the Art remains alive and I know it can never fade…..

My writings are for Photography Enthusiasts and Aspiring Professionals who don't pay so much attention to picture taking basics and chase the wild goose of digital editing and image manipulation. Let's understand the fundamentals of the craft and create photographs as organically as it exists in the nature.

Now I don't intend stopping them from using those digital tools, they are a necessity now to process and optimize captured images. It can most certainly be used to enhance the beauty in a picture, shot in the first place with the basic knowledge of the medium.

I don't claim to be a Guru of Photography….this blog is my sincere effort to impart what I experienced and learned all through the years of taking pictures.
